BPSC Sets Senior Staff Nurse MCQ Exam for August 3, Seat Plan Published
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the date for the selection examination for the post of Senior Staff Nurse (10th Grade) at the Government Employees Hospital. The MCQ-based test will take place on Monday, August 3, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 26 examination centres across Dhaka.
The examination is being held for candidates who applied online under the recruitment circular published on 13 February this year. BPSC has also released detailed instructions covering the examination process, admit cards, entry rules, and prohibited items.
According to the Commission, the test will include 100 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The subject-wise distribution is 20 marks each for Bangla, English, and General Knowledge (Bangladesh and International Affairs), while 40 marks are allocated for relevant technical or professional subjects.
Each correct answer will carry 1 mark, while 0.50 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The total examination time is one hour.
BPSC has instructed candidates to enter their six-digit registration number carefully on the answer sheet. Candidates whose registration numbers contain fewer than six digits must add leading zeros on the left before writing the number and filling in the corresponding circles with a black ink ballpoint pen.
Candidates must reach their assigned examination centre by 2:00 PM. Entry will not be allowed after 2:30 PM. Once the question paper has been distributed, no candidate will be permitted to leave the examination hall before the examination ends. The Commission has made it clear that no candidate will be allowed to sit for the examination without a valid admit card. During attendance, the registration number, photograph, and signature on the admit card will be matched with the attendance sheet. If any information does not match, the candidate will be expelled, and legal action will be taken.
BPSC has also imposed strict restrictions on items allowed inside examination centres. Candidates are prohibited from bringing books, bags, vanity bags, watches or watch-like devices, wallets, mobile phones, jewellery, bank cards, calculators, or any electronic device. Any prohibited item found during the examination will be confiscated, the candidate's candidature will be cancelled, and legal action will follow.
The Commission further instructed candidates not to cover their ears in any way during the examination. It also warned that incorrect registration numbers, improperly filled circles, overwriting, erasing, or the use of correction fluid on answer sheets may result in cancellation of candidature.
To prevent impersonation, BPSC said it will conduct a special search operation to identify fake candidates during the examination.
Candidates with disabilities who require a scribe must submit an application to the Director, Unit-10, at the BPSC Secretariat in Dhaka during office hours by 27 July. The Commission will appoint approved scribes and issue photo identification permits for them. Only BPSC-approved scribes with valid photo permits will be allowed into the examination hall.
Candidates must download their admit cards from the BPSC website or the BPSC Teletalk website before the examination. The Commission said no separate admit card will be sent. If an admit card is lost or damaged, candidates can download it again from the same websites before the examination date.
BPSC has advised all candidates to read the instructions printed on their admit cards carefully and follow every examination rule to avoid disqualification.
