The 2025 Honours first-year examinations under the National University began on Tuesday, July 28, following a one-day postponement of the opening examination. The university had originally scheduled the examinations to start on July 27 but later revised the date due to unavoidable circumstances.

According to the updated examination routine, the change applies to candidates appearing for paper codes 211521 and 211501. On the first day, students are sitting for the examinations on History of Bangladesh: Language, Culture and Identity under the new syllabus and History of the Emergence of Independent Bangladesh under the old syllabus.

The National University's Office of the Controller of Examinations said that all examinations will generally begin at 1:30 PM. Candidates have been advised to arrive at their examination centres before the scheduled starting time.

The university also announced a separate time change for the ICT examination (Code: 216601). That examination, scheduled for August 4, will now begin at 2:00 PM instead of the previously announced time. The change was confirmed in an urgent notice signed by Controller of Examinations Md. Enamul Karim.

Except for the ICT examination, all remaining written examinations will continue according to the previously announced timetable at 1:30 PM. Under the published routine, the written examinations are scheduled to conclude on September 20.

The National University said the dates and times for practical examinations will be announced later by the respective colleges. Candidates have also been advised to stay in regular contact with their colleges for official updates and examination-related information.

The university further reminded students to reach their examination centres before the scheduled time. It also noted that restrictions may apply to candidates who attempt to enter the examination hall after the examination has started.
