DCU Science and Business Studies Admission Tests Held Today

The admission tests for the Science and Business Studies Units of Dhaka Central University's first-year undergraduate (Honours) programme for the 2025–26 academic session are being held today, Friday (July 17). The one-hour examinations are taking place in two shifts, from 11:00am to 12:00pm and from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, at the designated centres of the university's seven affiliated government colleges.

According to university sources, 31,553 candidates have applied for 4,795 seats in the Science Unit. This means an average of about seven applicants are competing for each available seat.

The Business Studies Unit has received 11,244 applications for 1,885 seats. On average, around six candidates are competing for each seat in this unit.

The university said the seat plan for both admission tests has been available on the official admission website since July 14. Candidates were instructed to reach their assigned examination centres at least 30 minutes before the test and take their designated seats.

Applicants were required to download their admit cards from the university's admission website by logging into the "Applicant Login" section using their registered email address and password.

This year's admission tests are being conducted in the MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) format. Candidates must score at least 40 marks to qualify. They must also obtain a minimum of five marks in the relevant subject to be considered eligible for admission to their preferred programme.

The admission process will continue after the examinations, with the university expected to announce the next steps according to its official admission schedule.
