DCU Science Unit Admission Test on July 17, Seven Students to Compete Per Seat

The admission test for the Science Unit of Dhaka Central University's first-year undergraduate (Honours) programme for the 2025–26 academic year will be held on Friday, July 17. The one-hour examination will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at designated centres in the university's seven affiliated government colleges.

According to university sources, the Science Unit has 4,795 seats this year. A total of 31,553 students have applied, meaning an average of about seven candidates will compete for each available seat.

The university said the seat plans for the Science and Business Studies Unit admission tests have been available on the admission website since July 14. Candidates have been instructed to reach their assigned examination centres at least 30 minutes before the test begins and take their seats on time.

Applicants can download their admit cards from the university's admission website by logging into the "Applicant Login" section with their registered email address and password.

The admission test will be held in the MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) format. Candidates must obtain at least 40 marks to pass the examination. They must also score a minimum of 5 marks in the relevant subject to remain eligible for admission to their preferred programme.

The examination is an important step for thousands of students seeking admission to the Science Unit under Dhaka Central University. With several applicants competing for each seat, candidates are expected to follow the examination schedule and instructions issued by the university.

The university is expected to conduct the examination as scheduled, and further admission-related updates will be announced through its official admission process.
