Dhaka Central University Publishes Science and Business Unit Admission Results
The results of the Science and Business Studies Unit admission tests for the first-year undergraduate (Honours) programme for the 2025–2026 academic session at Dhaka Central University (DCU) have been published. The university announced the update on Saturday night, July 18. Candidates will be able to view their results shortly.
Professor Dr. Borhan Uddin, Treasurer of Dhaka Central University, confirmed the development to ResultBoss on Saturday night.
The admission tests were held on Friday in two shifts. The first session ran from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the second session took place from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The one-hour examinations were conducted simultaneously at designated centres across the seven government colleges affiliated with the university.
According to university sources, the Science Unit offers 4,795 seats this year. A total of 31,553 candidates applied, resulting in about seven applicants competing for each seat.
The Business Studies Unit has 1,885 available seats. The university received 11,244 applications for the unit, which means there are around six applicants for each seat.
Earlier, the university published the seat plans for both admission tests on its admission website from July 14. Candidates were instructed to report to their designated examination centres at least 30 minutes before the start of the test and take their assigned seats.
This year's admission tests were conducted using the MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) format. Candidates must score at least 40 marks to qualify. The university also requires applicants to obtain a minimum of 5 marks in the relevant subject to be considered for admission to their preferred programme.
The publication of the results marks the next stage of the admission process for thousands of applicants seeking undergraduate admission to Dhaka Central University. The university is expected to announce the next admission-related procedures through its official channels.
