The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the revised final results of the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, making changes to the BCS (Livestock) Cadre and several non-cadre posts. The revised results were announced through an urgent notice signed by PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) Masuma Afrin on Thursday, July 16.

According to the revised notification, 14 additional candidates have been included in the BCS (Livestock) Cadre. The PSC said the changes were made as a continuation of the final results published on June 28, following Paragraph 06 of that earlier notification.

With the revision, the total number of candidates finally recommended for the posts of Veterinary Surgeon, Scientific Officer, Lecturer, Store Officer, or equivalent positions under the BCS (Livestock) Cadre has increased to 68. The PSC said the newly published list will replace the previous results for these posts.

The revision to the cadre results has also led to changes in the non-cadre recommendations. As a result, the PSC has issued revised final results for six non-cadre posts in the 9th and 10th grades.

In the 9th grade, the revised results recommend 10 candidates for the post of Upazila Food Controller or equivalent under the Directorate General of Food, Ministry of Food. One candidate has also been recommended for the post of Assistant Director under the Department of Women's Affairs, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

For the 10th grade posts, the revised results recommend 44 candidates for Food Inspector or equivalent under the Directorate General of Food. The PSC has also recommended 58 candidates for Assistant Family Planning Officer under the Directorate General of Family Planning, Health Education and Family Welfare Division.

In addition, 19 candidates have been recommended for the post of Assistant Upazila or Thana Election Officer under the Election Commission Secretariat. Another 31 candidates have been recommended for the post of Tax Inspector under the National Board of Revenue.

The revised results are important for candidates because they replace parts of the final list published on June 28. Those affected by the changes will now be considered according to the updated recommendations issued by the PSC.

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission said the revised notification is now the effective final result for the affected cadre and non-cadre posts. Any further recruitment steps will follow the updated recommendations.
