BOU HSC Exam 2026 to Begin Nationwide on July 24
The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations under Bangladesh Open University (BOU) will begin across the country on Friday, July 24, following the previously announced schedule. The examinations will take place at 216 centres in government and private colleges and other educational institutions nationwide.
According to a press release issued by BOU on Wednesday (July 22), a total of 47,041 candidates from the first and second years will take part in the examinations. Among them, 27,796 are male students, and 19,238 are female students.
The university said it has completed the necessary preparations to hold the examinations in a peaceful and fair environment. As in previous years, the arrangements have been made with support from the local administration to help prevent cheating and maintain order at examination centres.

BOU also said its vigilance teams will be deployed at different examination centres across the country. The teams will monitor the examination process and carry out their assigned duties throughout the examination period.
The university also provided an update on two postponed examinations. It said the revised dates for Bangla 1st Paper (HSC 1851) and Bangla 2nd Paper (HSC 2851), which were originally scheduled for July 17, will be announced later.
