HSC Routine 2026 Change Notice Is Fake, Says Education Board

A notice claiming that the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will continue from July 27, 2026, under the previous schedule is fake, the Education Board has said.

The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers Committee issued an urgent public notice on Monday, July 21, rejecting the information being shared online.

The notice was signed by Professor Jesmin Taslima Banu, Controller of Examinations of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers Committee.

According to the notice, a false statement has been circulated in the name of the committee. It claimed that the HSC and equivalent examinations would be held as usual from July 27 based on an earlier schedule.

The committee said the notice is completely false and misleading. It also said that the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Chattogram, and the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers Committee have no connection with the circulated notice.

The committee urged students, guardians, and the public not to believe or share unverified information on social media. It also requested everyone to avoid spreading rumours or misleading content.

The notice said that official decisions, instructions, and examination-related updates are published only through the official websites and verified Facebook pages of the Ministry of Education, the Inter-Education Board Examination Controllers Committee, and the education boards.

Students and guardians have been advised to check official sources for any future updates about HSC and equivalent examinations.
